At Florida Youth at Risk (FYAR), we are passionate about creating lasting change through the power of music, performance, and education. Our mission is to uplift at-risk youth ages 12–25 and underserved communities across Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Miami, and beyond by offering transformative opportunities in the performing arts.
We believe music has the power to unite, heal, and inspire—not just individuals, but entire communities. By connecting Florida youth with meaningful performance experiences, we open doors to self-expression, confidence-building, and career development.
We focus on two key impact areas:
1. Youth development programs in music and stage arts
For ages 12–25, we provide hands-on training in performance, production, event management, and stagecraft. Through mentorship, technical training, and real-stage opportunities, participants build practical skills, creative confidence, and pathways to future careers.
2. Free community performances
We bring live shows to underserved neighborhoods, creating joy, connection, and cultural enrichment. These events give at-risk youth the chance to showcase their talent in front of live audiences while strengthening community bonds.
By combining education, access, and real-world performance, we aim to inspire the next generation of creative leaders. Our programs foster stronger communities, promote inclusion, and ensure every young person—regardless of background—can experience the transformative power of music and the performing arts.
